Teaching Philosophy

     My goal as a teacher is to create an environment for my students to explore and enjoy. I always want my classroom to be full of questions, discussion, and curious minds. Too often, mathematics is reduced to a rote task of memorizing formulas and question archetypes; Instead, I want to open the door to mathematical thinking and let my students look around for themselves and decide what they find interesting. Of course, mathematics always builds upon itself, so there are concepts my students must eventually learn in my class before they can move onward and upward. Thus, my duty as a teacher is to guide my students and their curiosity toward such ideas and concepts that will help them in their future classes, careers, and life.
